Sellers of instant downloads usually ask you to consent to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that this ends your withdrawal right (§ 356 (5) BGB). We do not ask for that consent, so the right does not lapse — you download the software, use it, and keep the full 14 days anyway.
The guarantee goes further than the law
The 14-day money-back guarantee in § 12 of the license terms is a contractual promise on top of this: no reason needed, no condition on how much you used it, and it applies to business buyers too, who have no statutory withdrawal right. Use whichever is easier — one email either way.
Or pay nothing at all first
The 15-day trial is the whole product, and it asks for no payment details. Withdrawing from a purchase you never had to make is the shortest path of all.

Who your contract is with
Polar Software Inc. acts as merchant of record and is your contractual partner for the payment; the software licence is granted by Roman Moor. A withdrawal addressed to either is effective — send it to us and we pass it on, or send it to Polar directly. The refund itself is executed by Polar, to the payment method you used.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us —

You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
On withdrawal you must stop using the software and delete your licence file and any copies of it. Files you exported before withdrawing remain yours.
No premature expiry of this right
For digital content, the right of withdrawal expires early only where the consumer has expressly consented to performance beginning before the end of the withdrawal period and has acknowledged losing the right (§ 356 (5) BGB). We do not request that consent and do not rely on that exception. Your right of withdrawal therefore runs the full 14 days regardless of when you downloaded or used the software.

Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract. Copying it into an email is enough.
Business buyers
The statutory right of withdrawal is a consumer right and does not apply to purchases made in the course of a trade or profession. The 14-day money-back guarantee in § 12 of the license terms does apply to you, on the same terms and with no reason required.
